Why Black Joy?
Travel isn’t just about escaping—it’s about expanding. For Black people, joy itself can be an act of resistance. Stepping onto new soil, hearing new languages, seeing yourself reflected in places you never imagined—that’s powerful.
Black Joy Global Travel exists to create more of those moments: soft life, adventure, healing, and possibility across the globe.

Travel Advisor
I’m Alphonso McCree Jr., founder of Black Joy Global Travel. I started this agency after traveling the world myself, living abroad, and realizing how many of us want to go—but feel unsure about safety, cost, or where to even begin. I combine real-world travel experience, research, and a deep love for our people to help you move from “I wish I could go” to “I’m boarding my flight.” Whether you’re booking a quick getaway or mapping out a full relocation, I’m in your corner for every step.
Real Experience Combined with Logistics Expertise
From living abroad to planning complex international trips, I bring firsthand experience and proven logistical know-how to every traveler I support.
My journey abroad began in 2016 while serving in the United States Air Force.
From an early age, I knew I wanted to see the world — but nothing could have prepared me for the moment I landed in Gunsan, South Korea. It was my first time living in a country where I didn’t speak the language, didn’t know the culture, and didn’t know a single person. I was excited, but honestly, I was terrified.
During my year in Korea, I let fear and discomfort hold me back more than I’d like to admit. When I left in 2017, I carried deep regret for not embracing the experience fully. I promised myself I would never let fear steal opportunities from me again.
That vow changed everything.
My next assignment took me to Aviano, Italy — and this time, I said yes to life. I explored Italy from top to bottom and traveled to Croatia, Slovenia, England, and even Africa. After leaving the military, I kept that promise to myself by continuing to see the world. I’ve since made trips to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, and most recently, to Bali, Indonesia — each journey deepening my passion for global exploration and cultural connection.
Today, that personal vow has grown into a mission: to help Black travelers confidently explore the world, experience joy in new places, and discover the freedom that comes from saying “yes” to adventure.
