Passport to Black Joy
A global empowerment experience showing Black students and families that the world is theirs to explore.
Passport to Black Joy is the education and impact arm of Black Joy Global Travel. Through school assemblies, workshops, and community events, we help Black youth and adults see themselves as global citizens, feel safe exploring the world, and take their first real steps toward getting a passport and traveling with confidence.
What is Passport to Black Joy?
Passport to Black Joy is a travel-based empowerment program created by Black Joy Global Travel and led by world traveler and Air Force veteran, Alphonso McCree Jr.
We use storytelling, global Black history, and practical passport education to show Black youth and adults that:
The world is bigger than what they see every day.
Travel is more affordable and accessible than they’ve been told.
They deserve to feel safe, welcomed, and joyful anywhere on this planet.

Program Options
Three Experiences. One Message: The World Is Yours.
The World is Yours! A Passport to Black Joy Adventure (Elementary School)
A fun, high-energy introduction to travel for younger students. Through stories, visuals, and imagination exercises, kids learn that:
there’s a big world beyond where they live
they deserve to see it
travel is something they can actually experience one day
This talk plants the seed early: “The world is yours, and you belong in it.”
The World is Yours! Your Passport to Black Joy (Middle & High School)
A deeper, more reflective keynote for teens. We explore:
Black historical figures whose lives changed through travel
how Black people have shaped every continent
how to get a passport step-by-step
why travel opens doors for college, careers, and purpose
Students leave feeling inspired to see the world, equipped with practical knowledge, and reminded that their bloodline is global and powerful.
Black Joy Global Travel Presents: Your Passport to Possibility (Adults & College Students)
A powerful session for adults who are ready to finally put travel into action. We talk about:
the emotional and mental benefits of seeing the world
how travel is more affordable than many believe
real cost comparisons (flights vs. everyday spending)
how to feel safe and supported traveling with Black Joy Global Travel
This keynote connects inspiration with clear next steps for booking travel, joining group trips, and making travel a consistent part of life.
